Get to know Istanbul in the best way possible!
At first I booked an airport transfer to our hotel via Reminder, which I learned about via Bery Istanbul Tips. We then decided to book a private street food tour, which was led by Kaan. Kaan was a great guy to hang out with for the afternoon, who first met us at our hotel in Pera, and then started us on a walking tour first through the very cool neighbourhood of Karaköy, trying some delicious Turkish street food along the way (the fish sandwich (balık ekmek) - do not skip!) then onto a ferry across the Bosphorus to Kadıköy, on the Asian side to try even more amazing food. Kaan told us many great facts, history and fun stories about Istanbul and Turkey through our several hours together. We went on this tour on one of our first days in Istanbul really helped give us our bearings for the next few days we spent there. Reminder were super easy to contact via WhatsApp, and we ended up booking a return transfer with them to the airport, which was the way to go. Highly Recommend Reminder Tours
Reminder Tours was excellent to deal with. They were very quick to respond to my questions and very helpful with booking a stop over package in Istanbul. Everything went smoothly, they arranged our transportation from airport to hotel return, our2 night accommodation and 1.5 days of walking tours. Hazal was our tour guide and was a wonderful host. She is very knowledgeable, engaging, personable and fun. With our short time in Istanbul we are very glad we booked with Reminder Tours and would highly recommend them. Great experience!
My family of 4 (adults) just got back from a week in Istanbul and I can't say enough about how great Reminder Tour was for our trip. Furkan was communicative before we even left and then throughout the trip. They arranged all of our transportation to and from the airport and it was seamless. They even provide video of where to go in the airport after you land (helpful because it is a HUGE airport). We did 4 days of tours with them, one day which included a day trip to Ephesus. Everything ran seamlessly! I also cannot say enough great things about our guide Oyku. She was with us for our 3 days of tours in Istanbul and she was so knowledgeable about everything and so pleasant and fun to be around. She also took us on a really great food tour, a highlight of the trip. She also helped us with good places to eat and shop. Gokhan was our tour guide in Ephesus and he was also wonderful and gave a great historical tour. I was worried flying there and back in the same day was going to be too much but it ended up being very relaxing all because our tour guide was great and Reminder Tour set up all the moving parts, including transport, so well. I should also note Gokhan is an independent contractor for tours and said Reminder was his favorite to work with--they have a good reputation and they always pay their guides on time. Kaan is the best at getting you what you need
We did private ours withthis company in both Istanbul and Cappadocia. Our agent was Kaan and he provided us top notch reliable service. Without him touring Turkiye would have been extremely difficult for me with my 11-year-old nephew. I did arrange some transport myself. Big mistake! We ended up in a smoke filled vehicle, and with drivers we had big arguements with. Kaan gave us drivers with smoke free, a/c vehicles, clean with even water provided. Our private guide Hazel in Istanbul was very knowledgeable on all the sites she took us to, and she was good with my nephew. He saw the value in having a guide as soon as she started our tour. We appreciated how she catered to our preferences, going out early and finishing before the sun was too hot. Uurr ( not sure if that is the correct spelling) was really great w my nephew and even assisted us talk8ng to our innkeepers who we found gave us poor service. His suggestion for a second day tour was good although due to falling I could not do the walk. We found him very patient but felt his knowlege of the sites was not very strong. We asked the depth of the underground city, and he said it was unknown, but we overheard other guides giving this detail on their tours and we went online and got answers to our queries and other basic interesting info that he had not imparted. So much depth of knowledge about the history
I can highly recommend Oyku Demir from Reminder tours. I spent the day with her exploring the blue mosque, hippodrome, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi palace. The guide is extraordinary! The only agency that really offered personalized tour, just like we wanted it!
Everything was excellent, the transport on time, clean and comfortable; but what gave an impressive value to the two tours we hired was the Volkan guide, not only was very cordial and with a lot of knowledge, his treatment went further, we felt he was like a friend who showed us the cultural and gastronomic riches of his country. One stop shop for Istanbul
I learned of Reminder Tours from YouTube, and I'm glad that I contacted them. When I initially reached out, our plan to visit Turkey was not even finalized, but they were able to provide a customized private tour plan for me and my wife.
