Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Reminder Tour collects when you use remindertour.com or book a tour with us, why we use it, who we share it with and what your rights are. It applies under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
Reminder Tour is operated by NTP Seyahat Acentesi ve Turizm Tic. Ltd. Şti. (TÜRSAB licence no. 14213), Ömer Avni Mah. Bilezik Sk. No:4A, Beyoğlu, Istanbul, Türkiye, together with Reminder Tour LLC, 30 N Gould St STE 29224, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, which processes online payments. They are the data controllers. What we collect
- Booking details: your name, email address, phone number, tour date, number of travellers and children's ages, your hotel or pick-up address, and — depending on the tour — flight number and time, passenger names, cruise ship details or room preferences.
- Notes you give us: anything you write in the notes field, such as dietary needs, food allergies or mobility needs. Allergy and health information is sensitive data: we only use it to run your tour safely and only share it with the guide and the restaurant or supplier who needs it.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact or inquiry forms, by email or on WhatsApp.
- Reviews: if you write a review on a tour page, your name, rating and text (published on the page once we have checked them) and your email (never published; used only to check whether you booked the tour and to reply if needed).
- Payments: card payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive the payment status, amount and the last digits of the card.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details, used for security (spam and bot protection) and, only if you accept cookies, for anonymous visitor statistics. To limit repeated attempts on our forms we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address — never the address itself — for up to one day.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To take, confirm and run your booking — pick-up, guide, tickets, transfers and hotels (performance of a contract; KVKK art. 5/2-c).
- To answer your questions and requests (steps you asked for before a contract; our legitimate interest).
- To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation; KVKK art. 5/2-ç).
- To protect the website against fraud and abuse (legitimate interest).
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, with Google Analytics — for visitors in the EU, the UK and Türkiye only with their consent, which can be withdrawn at any time; elsewhere on the basis of our legitimate interest, and you can still turn it off.
- To process allergy or health information you choose to give us — with your explicit consent, given by writing it in your booking.
We do not sell your data and we do not send newsletters or marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
- Your guide and the suppliers of your tour (drivers, hotels, airlines, restaurants, workshops) — only what each needs to provide their part of the tour.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Stripe (card payments) — United States / EU;
- Vercel (website hosting) and Neon (booking database, Frankfurt) — United States / EU;
- Google (email, Google Analytics if you accept cookies, Google Maps if you open the map) — United States;
- Cloudflare (security check on forms and site protection) — United States;
- WhatsApp / Meta, if you choose to contact us there — United States.
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
Transfers outside Türkiye
Several of the providers above store data outside Türkiye, mainly in the United States and the European Union. These transfers are made to provide the service you asked for (KVKK art. 9) and under the safeguards the providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

The cookies and browser storage above marked as remembering a choice are strictly necessary for the site to work as you asked and need no consent. Cloudflare's security check on our forms works without advertising cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page to prevent fraud. Google (YouTube, Google Maps) sets cookies only if you choose to play a video or open a map — they don't load until you click. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Türkiye, Google Analytics stays off until you accept. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep it
- Bookings, invoices and payment records: as long as Turkish tax and commercial law requires (generally 10 years).
- Messages and inquiries that did not lead to a booking: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Allergy and health notes: deleted once your tour is over and any questions about it are settled.
Your rights
Under KVKK article 11 and the GDPR you can ask us whether we process your data and get a copy of it; have it corrected or deleted; learn who it was shared with, in Türkiye or abroad; object to processing based on our legitimate interest or to a decision made solely by automated means; withdraw your consent at any time; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. GDPR residents can also ask to restrict processing and to receive their data in a portable format.
Write to info@remindertour.com. We answer within 30 days, free of charge. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EU/UK, to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to bookings is limited to our staff and password-protected, and card data is handled only by Stripe.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
