Full Itinerary of 8 Day Private Turkey Tour
DAY 1 — Arrival in Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey! Upon landing at Istanbul Airport, our representative will greet you by name and transfer you privately to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and explore at your own pace. Check-in time: 14:00. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 2 — Private Guided Tour of Historic Istanbul
After breakfast, your private Istanbul tour begins at 9:00 AM. Your licensed guide will lead you through the greatest monuments of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empire. You’ll start at the atmospheric Basilica Cistern — a hauntingly beautiful underground Byzantine reservoir. Next, visit the architectural masterpiece of Hagia Sophia, a 1,500-year-old monument that has served as a church, mosque, and museum. Continue to the stunning Blue Mosque, famous for its 20,000 hand-painted Iznik tiles, then walk through the ancient Hippodrome of Constantinople. Finally, lose yourself in the legendary Grand Bazaar — one of the world’s oldest covered markets with over 4,000 shops. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 3 — Private Guided Tour: Modern Istanbul & the Bosphorus
After breakfast, your second Istanbul day begins at 9:00 AM. Explore the vibrant İstiklal Street and Taksim Square — the beating heart of modern Istanbul. Visit the magnificent Süleymaniye Mosque, a masterpiece designed by the legendary architect Mimar Sinan, then wander through the aromatic Spice Bazaar. In the afternoon, sail the Bosphorus Strait on a scenic ferry, taking in sweeping views of Ottoman palaces, historic waterfront mansions, and Istanbul’s iconic skyline from the water. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 4 — Flight to Denizli & Private Tour of Pamukkale
After checking out, transfer to the airport for your early morning flight to Denizli (Departure 06:35 → Arrival 07:45, hotel pickup at 03:50). Your private guide and driver will be waiting upon arrival. Explore the breathtaking Pamukkale travertine terraces — Turkey’s famous “Cotton Castle” — and the adjacent Hierapolis ancient city, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman sites in the country. Optionally, take a dip in the legendary Cleopatra’s Pool, where ancient columns lie submerged in thermal waters. Afterwards, transfer by private car to Kuşadası (approx. 2 hours). Overnight in Kuşadası.
DAY 5 — Private Tour of Ephesus & Flight to Cappadocia
After breakfast and checkout, your private guide takes you to the ancient city of Ephesus — one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll also visit the House of Virgin Mary, a sacred pilgrimage site, and the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. In the evening, transfer to İzmir Airport for your flight to Cappadocia (Departure 20:45 → Arrival 22:15). Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your cave hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
DAY 6 — Private Cappadocia Tour (+ Optional Hot Air Balloon)
Start your morning with an optional sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride over Cappadocia’s fairy chimneys — one of the most extraordinary experiences in the world. After the balloon (or breakfast at the hotel), your private tour begins around 10:00 AM. Explore the panoramic Göreme viewpoint, then descend into the incredible Kaymaklı Underground City — a multi-level subterranean city carved 8 floors below ground. Take in the sweeping hilltop views from Ortahisar and walk through the breathtaking Red Valley. Optionally, visit an authentic pottery workshop in Avanos and try your hand at the wheel beside a master craftsman. Overnight in Cappadocia.
DAY 7 — Private Cappadocia Tour & Flight back to Istanbul
After breakfast and checkout, your final Cappadocia day covers the Göreme Open Air Museum — a UNESCO World Heritage Site of rock-cut Byzantine churches adorned with remarkable frescoes. Visit the iconic Pigeon Valley, the surreal rock formations of Dervent (Imagination) Valley, and the mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys of Paşabağ. In the evening, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul (Departure 18:15 or 20:40). Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 8 — Departure

Reminder Tour is a great travel agency. They offer a complete PRIVATE tour, I traveled with my sister and we both had the drivers and the Tour Guides for ourselves. The private cars were very clean and always on time, the tour guides were very helpful, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel in Istanbul it is very close to a few attractions. In Cappadocia at the hotel,we had 2 great dinners that are included. In Kuşadası the hotel has breathtaking views. In general an amazing experience you won’t regret to get the tour with them, they are going to ask you to make 2 payments prior your arrival and they are going to send you a link to make those payments. I know is sounds scary but just trust them and if one of your credit cards does not get approved, use a different one. We left Türkiye loving the culture, the food and the people.

Reminder Tours gave us a wonderful experience in Turkey and Cappadocia. Furkan was very helpful from even before we set foot in Turkey with emails and how he was constantly available if we had questions via WhatsApp once we were there. Our Istanbul guide Öykü was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about the places and took us on a kind of mini food tour on what to eat around the Galata area. She also gave us recommendations on eating one of the best kebabs at the Asia side even if she wasn’t with us. She informed us where and how to get to certain places so it was very easy of us to go back to buy the best baklava I’ve tasted for taking back home. In Cappadocia, our guide Yarkin was excellent as well. He gave us quite a lot of background and history in the places we visited. He also gave us suggestions on the best places for photo and views and food recommendations. We were never rushed and could take our time around places. Reminder Tours also booked out the balloon ride in Cappadocia so we didn’t have to worry about slots or looking for a company to take us. The drivers for all the outings as well as pick up and drop off to the airport were friendly and helpful. Thank you Reminder tours for taking care of us during our vacation.

I am a solo traveller and returned last week (May 2024) from a private 12-day tour of Türkiye including Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale and Cappadocia. The tour went smoothly and was well organized by Reminder Tours and included all aspects of tour planning. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Just show up. I have minor mobility issues and the company was flexible and accommodating. It was a slow tour, so I was able to take breaks when needed. All the tour guides Hazal (Istanbul), Bilge (Ephesus and Pamukkale) and Bülent (Cappadocia) were informative, fun and engaging. The drivers Ertan (Ephesus and Pamukkale) and Mehmet (Cappadocia) were on time and similarly accommodating. I definitely recommend Reminder Tours.
